- Be Active Always
You should walk wherever and whenever possible.
Pick weekend activities like bike rides, hikes, or any other physical activity
Don’t take a lift or escalator, take the stairs always.
Choose active recreational activities on vacation like hiking, kayaking, skiing, swimming, biking etc
- Get enough sleep everyday
One must sleep at least 7-8 hours each night. Sleep gives your body the energy needed to workout daily. It also helps regulate your metabolism, repair your muscles and makes you healthier, fitter and a happier person overall.
- Limit screen time
Time spent watching TV, sitting in front of the laptop or being glued to your phone should be reduced. Opt to do some sort of activity during your free time.
- Drink 8-10 glasses of water daily
Water retention occurs when you don’t drink enough water, so the body retains excess fluids in the tissue. In the nutrition industry this is referred to as water weight and one of the best ways to lose water weight is to drink the recommended amount of water daily.
